In August, BHG Financial teamed up with LAUNCH CNY—a nonprofit organization fostering greater personal independence through learning—to host field games, fitness fun, and more in honor of Wellness Month 2022.  

BHG colleagues and LAUNCH staff and clients were welcomed on a sunny Syracuse afternoon for a cookout and a peek into how BHG and its colleagues are paying it forward while promoting healthy living.  

With a combined focus on nurturing community activity and healthy living skills, the LAUNCH program is helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities live rich and meaningful lives—a sentiment BHG Financial proudly stands behind.   

Over the first half of this year, BHG teamed with more than 15 philanthropic organizations local to the central New York area. The company’s latest investment in the Wellness Works campaign is a cause that closely aligns with BHG core values of caring for each other through love, generosity, and community.  

In conjunction with LAUNCH CNY’s Wellness Works campaign encompassing balanced eating and active lifestyles, BHG presented the Syracuse, New York, nonprofit with a few must-have items to further its cause. Donations included NordicTrack treadmills for CYN’s workout space and a fully-equipped grill to support in person tutorials and hands on experience in healthy meal preparation.  

BHG has been a wonderful partner in helping to increase the wellness of our clients, says LAUNCH Executive Director, Paulette Purdy. “Clients are walking on the treadmills and learning to cook healthy meals … I was sitting in my office today and heard a commotion and two clients were on the treadmills and were so excited and having fun. It was great to see!”
