Who You Are

The Director of DevOps is a position within the IT organization responsible for all activities related to DevOps Engineering including software deployment, application monitoring, public cloud management, and other related enterprise software implementations. This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of industry standards to guide his/her devops team in the implementation of modern devops practices. This position will allow 100% remote.
What You'll Do
  • Attract, retain and manage talent for a global DevOps team driving world-class software initiatives and industry best practices.
  • Manage CI/CD build tools, automated testing systems, security analysis tools, and repository managers supporting a large software development organization.
  • Manage Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) providing 24/7 helpdesk support.
  • Understand industry trends and anticipate future needs for Agile development.
  • Lead a robust and mature DevOps Engineering team architecting, implementing, and managing Azure production and development environments to support enterprise applications and products.
  • Application and infrastructure monitoring and incident response.
  • Process automation.
  • Performance management and optimization.
  • Cloud and Application Security.
What You'll Need
  • 10+ years in DevOps.
  • 5+ years in DevOps leadership role for an enterprise SaaS product line.
  • 5+ years in Cloud engineering.
  • 4-year degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Containers, and ELK a plus.
  • Mastery with DevOps tools Azure DevOps and/or Azure Engineer certification or similar experience.
  • Mastery in written/verbal skills.
  • Mastery with contemporary engineering process (e.g. agile, scrum, Kanban).
