Who You Are
You are a driven and motivated professional with excellent knowledge and skills as a Sales Trainer. You will be responsible for creating a learning and development training program for our team of sales trainees. You will provide insight and performance management to the ensure effective and efficient training, leading to successful development of sales professionals that will drive the business.
What You'll Do
  • Responsible for the daily supervision and management of a team of Trainees. The Training Manager is responsible for the training delivery process, management of resources to deliver the content and ongoing performance management to ensure training is efficient and effective. Success is measured by training throughput, 90-day retention/KPI performance and Training NPS Survey results.
  • Maintain and update documentation such as training course material, curriculum, continual education trainings, instructor scripts, web-based training storyboards, record audio narration and onscreen interactions utilizing instructional technologies, quick reference guides, syllabus, troubleshooting trees, guides and other documentation as needed.
  • Manages the design, development, coordination and implementation of ongoing sales training programs and curriculum. Ensures the sales organization is prepared to engage customers on all products, benefits, objections and financial/operational/strategic aspects of the company’s full product portfolio.
  • Collaborates with relevant teams (Marketing, R&D, Sales Management, HR, Distribution, etc.) to develop and deliver internal training courses/programs targeting new hire orientation, product training, sales process and consultative selling, sales effectiveness, presentation skills, phone selling skills, outside sales skills, etc.
  • Maintain a high success rate of successful trainee graduates as demonstrated by high ratings on new hire evaluations and KPI performance
  • Identify, build and execute a training roadmap for the Institutional sales teams within BHG, in order to increase our “Speed to Effectiveness”
  • Manage, coach, and grow a team of trainees in accordance with the organization's policies; this includes interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Provide accurate reporting and records regarding training performance and day over day needs
  • Provide coaching, monitoring, and feedback to trainees  
  • Adjusts and customizes sales training material and curriculum based on key business areas.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments and documenting each role play executed with each Sales representative. 
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to suggest improvements to training needs and training material
What You'll Need
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Deep knowledge of sales activities, principles and processes; ability to identify, implement and analyze sales training needs
  • Demonstrated ability to design, build and implement learning programs
  • Superior presentation and facilitation skills
  • Effective persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills needed to build rapport with teammates quickly and professionally
  • Analytical/problem-solving skills are essential
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate people
  • Familiarity with role-playing activities and e-learning platforms
  • Hands-on experience creating presentations and/ mentoring material
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience (sales training, outside sales/account management/Business-to-Business sales)
  • 3 or more years of experience supporting development/implementation of sales training programs and/or experience as a field sales trainer
  • Excellent Leadership, interpersonal, project management, organizational skills
  • Thrive on energy, passion and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Proactive and positive approach to providing solutions
  • Strong listening and diagnostic skills
