Who You Are
You are a highly motivated Application Support intern who is deeply passionate about providing exceptional support for critical applications in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise lies in efficiently managing a continuous influx of requests, and you come equipped with a background in delivering top-notch first-level support for various software products and tools. Your dedication and positive attitude make you a valuable asset, and you shine in settings where your contributions can have an immediate impact.

This team serves as the primary point of contact for central technology service support, with a focus on promptly assisting clients, resolving software incidents, and fulfilling service requests to ensure high customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
  • Provide tier 1 support for internal customer requests or incidents
  • Opens troubleshoots and routes tickets
  • Ensure IT service level agreements are maintained
  • Track and prioritize requests through JIRA
  • Responds to system alerts and problems
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves issues, including escalations when appropriate
  • Completes assigned work in a timely and high-quality manner
  • Reports on the progress of own deliverables during 1x1 and Performance Check-in
  • Adhere to established agile methodology, SDLC, support, and service management policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain knowledge base documentation
  • Gain cross-functional skills and visibility in all areas of the business from our virtual training sessions, hands-on experience, mentorship program, and access to diverse subject matter experts
What You'll Need
  • Students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, graduating in the Fall of 2024 or Spring of 2025
  • Availability between May 2024 – August 2024
  • Full-time availability, 40 hours a week (Monday – Friday, 9-6 pm EST – NO Weekends)
  • Possess a basic understanding of database design and novice in SQL
  • Familiar with a range of software development technologies, including Microsoft .NET (C#), Azure Cloud, PHP, and full-stack architecture, with a strong eagerness to expand your skills.
  • Have a foundational knowledge of different software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies like Waterfall, Agile (Scrum, and Kanban)
  • Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Familiarity with financial terminology
  • Comfortable with essential IT tools like IT ServiceDesk, JIRA Software, JIRA Confluence, etc.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools (i.e., Teams, Zoom, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com is a plus
  • The pay range for this position is $19 - 22 per hour; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
