We are looking for an experienced and creative Graphic Designer to join our Institutional Strategic Marketing team. This team supports the institutional relationship team, which collaborates closely with our community banking partners and associations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the visual identity of our brand and will collaborate closely with team members to develop engaging designs. You will work in a collaborative environment, brainstorming with the team to create compelling visual concepts that align with marketing strategies and business goals.
What You'll Do
  • Design Execution: Create and refine visually compelling designs across various platforms, including digital, print, social media, and email campaigns.
  • Concepting & Brainstorming: Collaborate with the strategic marketing team during the concepting and brainstorming phase to generate creative ideas that align with our objectives.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to brand guidelines, maintaining visual consistency while enhancing our brand presence.
  • Project Management: Oversee design projects from concept through execution, managing deadlines and ensuring high-quality output.
  • Email Design: Design engaging email templates with an emphasis on user experience and effective communication.
  • Tool Proficiency: Expert in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for creating polished, professional visual assets.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive design solutions.
What You'll Need
  • Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in graphic design, with a portfolio showcasing work across digital, print, and email platforms.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency Adobe Creative Suite and experience in Canva. Basic knowledge of HTML for email design and web assets is a plus.
  • Team Player: Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, actively participating in team brainstorming and creative development sessions.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate design concepts and collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Must be able to commute to Syracuse, NY office

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in motion graphics or video editing tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI design and email marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot).
