What You'll Do
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop an ecosystem of targeted strategic partnerships in support of BHG’s Card Services.
  • Utilize excellent communication and relationship skills paired with understanding of market dynamics (value proposition, value chain, etc.) and business approach.
  • Grow the card program to align with partners for white label or a co-branded program. 
  • Build out strategy and program parameters. BHG brings full cycle card solutions, from originations to servicing to portfolio management. We are providing our structure as a way for organizations to offer a fully-white label card solution to their customers, while opening up additional revenue streams. 
  • Projects will include development and execution of partner strategies, system integrator and providing market input to direct product development initiatives, help develop, refine, and participate in recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Work with internal stakeholders across business development, strategy, legal, corporate development, and technical functions to ensure alignment on partnership pursuits
  • Create a systematic, process-driven approach to BHG’s strategic Partners relationship management
  • Collaborate with senior management and other marketing teammates to align our internal goals with new and existing partner relationships
  • Negotiate and finalize deals in accordance with company’s contract guidelines and policies
  • Deliver a great experience to our partners when working with our organization - you will represent our brand and be our partners’ liaison internally
  • Forecast, measure, and report the results of various projects with partners, including co-created and/or co-branded content promotions, lead sharing, and/or event partnerships
  • Serves as the key point of contact to manage the strategic partner relationship
  • Monitors ongoing programs and regularly report partner KPI’s to senior management.
  • Strategizes with account on opportunities; accurately forecast respective opportunities based upon realistic assessments
  • Works with sales team to ensure specific sales initiatives are implemented and progressing as designed
  • Develops strong relationships cross-functionally (including Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT), becoming familiar with each department’s role and how it connects to the partner’s business
  • Demonstrates clear understanding of the sales process and product and service value propositions
  • Documents existing workflows of the partner’s business with a key understanding of how BHG can provide solutions to grow mutual business
  • Drive prospective partner development efforts, including partner identification, prioritization, engagement, and term negotiation across all products
  • Prepare presentation materials both for external partner discussions and internal management alignment discussions
  • Drive BHG’s strategic partnership and strategy, including mapping the partner landscape and prioritizing potential partners
  • Expand the BHG partner network to identify and develop new business opportunities and increase revenues
  • Compile and report sales forecasts of managed partners and status reports in a timely fashion

What You'll Need
  • Successful track record in Strategic Partnerships, specifically within Card Services, minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles
  • Strong network and industry knowledge within Card Services
  • Skilled at learning and applying understanding of partner organizations’ structure, influencers, decision-making process
  • Excellent knowledge of sales processes including acquisition, development and retention
  • Experience in developing productive and mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing sales pipelines with Salesforce or similar
  • Must be willing to learn about new products and services
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate and influence at the C-level 
  • Ability to conduct engaging reporting meetings
  • Natural curiosity, an inquisitive nature, and a true desire to learn and grow
  • An understanding of fast passed environment and willingness to break through walls
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive independently
  • Love of a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic thinker, networking aptitude, great multitasking skills and attention to detail
