Who You Are

You are a motivated Analytics Leader who is passionate about driving results and has a creative approach to solving problems. You will ensure a consistent approach to portfolio management for identifying, escalating and addressing current and emerging risk issues. You will use a data-driven approach to profile BHG cardholders to identify, develop & implement strategies to increase revenue generated by the portfolio. You will also identify business risks and opportunities and provide strategic or tactical recommendations to be implemented with cross-functional teams at BHG.  
What You’ll Do
  • The Director of Credit Card Analytics will lead and manage a team within the credit card analytics space
  • Gain an understanding of credit card risk framework and look to adapt this over time to apply to a broader customer base as the business grows
  • The Director of Credit Card Analytics will use updated portfolio refresh data to develop a line monitoring strategy based on trends in card activity, credit profiling, or both
  • Monitor portfolio risks and develop appropriate risk policies across products
  • The Director of Credit Card Analytics will analyze portfolio dynamics, customer segmentation, sales processes & marketing efforts to develop strategies which help to increase profitability of new and historical cardholders
  • Drive the automation of report and dashboard generation in a manner that drives consistency, accuracy and sustainability in credit card profitability reporting
  • Propose changes to documented risk, product & customer outreach strategies
  • Attend regular meetings with BHG’s partner bank and weigh in on portfolio findings and data-driven strategies BHG is looking to implement
  • Work with Data Management and Predictive Analytics groups to enrich internal data for developing risk strategies
  • Develop, implement and monitor analytical strategies for delinquent and default portfolios
  • Identify retention strategies for inactive cardholders 
  • Work closely with credit card leadership and key stakeholders in cross-functional departments
What You’ll Need
  • 7+ years of proven risk or portfolio management analytics experience within Financial Service industries. Experience managing a credit card portfolio is preferred
  • 4+ years leading and managing high performing teams
  • Deep understanding of profitability management for the entire customer life-cycle
  • Proficient with SQL, R, Python, Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven analytical skills; ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations 
  • Ability to gain an understanding of business growth objectives and develop relevant strategies
  • Self-starter and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to develop strong, open and collaborative working relationships by gaining trust to successfully manage and deliver against expectations
  • Consistently exhibit natural curiosity and dynamism
  • Ability to develop road maps and prioritize team’s workload
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Experiences with designing and implementing A/B tests
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering or related quantitative fields
