Who You Are

As a key member of the Predictive Analytics leadership team, you will have responsibility for building and managing a world-class marketing modeling team. Reporting to the Head of Predictive Analytics, you will be responsible for equipping the marketing team with models and recommendations that achieve optimal results and drive revenue. You will oversee and participate in the development of performance marketing models for all of our acquisition channels – Direct Mail, Email, Paid Search, Paid Social, and Website. You will be responsible for leveraging data to develop models and continually enhance them with learnings from A/B test results. You will advise the Marketing & Revenue analytics team on the crafting of strategies backed by a multi-million-dollar monthly marketing budget. You will inspire and mentor a high-performing team through your leadership and strong hands-on capability to transform decision-making and build solutions. 
What You'll Do
  • The Director of Quantitative Analytics will lead and build a team within the Predictive Analytics department 
  • The Director of Quantitative Analytics will lead the development of state-of-the-art performance marketing models and consult to marketing strategists on decisions regarding segmentation, personalization, targeting and retargeting, contact management, attribution, customer lifetime value optimization, and multichannel initiatives
  • The Director of Quantitative Analytics will manage and elevate the recurring process of refreshing marketing models, scoring the universe, presenting the model-driven marketing plan to stakeholders, and evaluating model performance based on campaign results
  • Manage the data science practices for business problems such as media mix modeling, cross-channel spend optimization, multi-touch attribution, propensity, net lift, causal inference, and structural equation modeling
  • The Director of Quantitative Analytics will be responsible for the full Data Science lifecycle from conception to prototyping, testing, deploying, and measuring the overall business value of the models 
  • Manage model health and the integrity of underlying processes and assumptions - refitting models if needed
  • Work with the data engineering team to develop automated pipelines to perform different stages of the model lifecycle
  • Routinely evaluate new internal or third-party data for model enhancement potential
  • Directly contribute to team goals and work product - this role is a hands-on player/coach
  • Provide thought leadership in modeling and advanced analytics 
  • Invest in the professional development of your staff of data scientists
What You'll Need
  • 7+ years of proven experience in Credit Marketing, e-Commerce, Performance-Based Advertising, or other relevant professional areas
  • 5+ years’ experience in a quantitative role related to Performance Marketing
  • 3+ years leading and managing high performing teams
  • Master’s/PhD degree in Computer Science, Math / Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering or related quantitative discipline
  • Experience with Digital Marketing and Attribution Modeling a strong differentiator
  • Expertise in statistical modeling, including but not limited to Logistic Regression, Gradient Boosting, Survival models, Markov Chain models
  • Proficient with R, SQL, R Shiny
  • Ability to develop strong, open, and collaborative working relationships by gaining trust to successfully manage and deliver against expectations 
  • Ability to develop road maps and prioritize team’s workload as well as remain hands-on in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance 
  • Strong communication skills: written, verbal, presentation, and storytelling with data
