You are a motivated professional who is passionate about Transforming and Implementing a function and team, maintaining and continuously improving a Delivery Assurance function. You excel at Implementing and leading a successful Delivery Team within Product Engineering and IT functions and have experience Implementing and leading a team of program, delivery and coordinators. You are a relationship, customer service oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment where you can help Product Engineering and IT deliver key initiatives and roadmaps in a timely manner.

In this role, you will be responsible for various methods and practices around transforming how Product Engineering matures its operating model and best practices across the organization. As an arm of the overall Shared Services Operations function, the Director of Product Engineering Operations is responsible for supporting and enabling the teams to be more efficient by streamlining processes and managing data and technology. This may include streamlining processes within the product and engineering team and with other parts of the company, standardizing planning and other processes, and putting together onboarding and training programs, best practices and support resources the Product and Engineering function
What You’ll Do
  • Lead the initiative on transforming and maturing how BHG Product and Engineering teams operate. 
  • Implement best practices on how Product and Engineering teams operate  
  • Interact with executives across the organization creating key relationships to drive continuous improvement for Product and Engineering 
  • Create templates, guidelines and resources leveraged across the product and engineering teams 
  • Unite teams with tools and processes 
  • Support hiring, training & onboarding Product and Engineering resources 
  • Assemble & lead a high performing team to support product operations 
  • Develop & maintain continuing education program 
  • Implement reporting operational insights and KPI’s to support delivery 
  • Create Quarterly and Annual planning and business reviews for products and offerings  
  • Oversee a centralized team of UX resources providing UX capabilities across the organization  
  • Implement a UX framework and methodologies in partnership with Marketing  
  • Provide advisory services to Product and Engineering leaders 
  • Support teams in conducting research to support the creation of strategic roadmaps
  • Assist teams with best practices on prioritization and maintaining product roadmaps 
  • Support a team to administer the Product Roadmap Solution along with the governance and reporting needs across the organization. 
What You’ll Need
  • Fifteen or more years of experience in Product Engineering and business/industry 
  • Five to seven years of leadership responsibilities 
  • Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams 
  • Expert in leading transformations 
  • Program management skills and experience, plus significant knowledge of project planning tools with evidence of practical application (which is highly desirable). 
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the vision, and inspire and motivate leaders and staff. 
  • A distinctive blend of business, Product, Engineering, and communication skills. (This is a highly visible position with substantial impact.) 
  • Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role. 
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills. 
  • Strong business acumen, including industry, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units. 
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging technologies and how other enterprises are employing them to drive digital business, and how they may be applied to the enterprise to drive digital business. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic resource plan. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain product software concepts and technologies to business leaders. 
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience 
  • Knowledge of AHA and Jira is a plus
