Who You Are
You are a motivated student pursuing a degree in computer science or a related technical discipline. You are passionate about ensuring the quality and excellence in your work. As a Software Development in Test Intern, you will become an integral part of an agile development team, collaborating closely with developers and business analysts to ensure the quality of our applications.  Your primary tasks will involve writing code, drawing upon your specialized knowledge of testing techniques and best practices, as well as your deep understanding of sound technical architecture and design principles. Within our highly collaborative environment, you'll be provided with continuous opportunities for growth and development, allowing you to evolve into a proficient tester and engineer.
What You’ll Do
  • Assist in the development of end to end automated regression and performance test scripts
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed
  • Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project
  • Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications
  • Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios
  • Gain cross-functional skills and visibility in all areas of the business from our virtual training sessions, hands-on experience, mentorship program, and access to diverse subject matter experts
  • Engage with other interns, leaders across BHG Financial, and the community through lunch and learns, virtual team building events, and give back projects
What You'll Need
  • Students pursuing a quantitative degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field, graduating in the Fall 2024 – Spring 2025
  • Availability between May 2024 - August 2024
  • Full-time availability of 40 hours a week (Monday – Friday, 9-6 pm EST – NO Weekends).
  • Live within driving distance of our Fort Lauderdale office
  • Comfortable working with Programming languages used - Exp: object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
  • The pay range for this position is $23-28 per hour; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
