Who You Are
Our VP of Sales Operations will own the sales operations function and invigorate our sales processes and tools to launch us to the next stage and beyond. This position serves as a strategic partner to the sales leadership team and will be responsible for overseeing key functions that are critical to the organization’s success, including annual planning, compensation, forecasting and ongoing reporting and analytics. An innate ability to focus on and understand the mechanisms and processes that drive customer success will be attributes of the successful candidate. You will be primarily responsible for coordinating with stakeholders (finance, legal, marketing, human resources and enablement, I.T. etc), assist Enterprise Sales with determining optimal organizational structure, hiring needs and capacity, optimization of Salesforce CRM, sales engagement tools and sales process, assisting with developing and executing against multiyear strategic sales plan, establishing and measuring organizational effectiveness against annual goals. Need to be analytical, organized and driven, plus SaaS sales ops experience. This position is a key direct report to the Institution Sales President and will be someone who can anticipate and meet the needs of a growing and dynamic Sales team by driving operational efficiencies and improvements.
 
 


 

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee program policies and procedures, create policy documentation, create and update underwriting and financial review of many products, manage program efficiency's and workflow improvement, manage annual review process of business partner, monitor portfolio performance of business partner, manage operational projects
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to support the growth and revenue of BHG Intuitional sales team
  • Focus on execution of new projects.
  • Perform ongoing valuations of small business loans, securities, and servicing rights
  • Assist in the maintenance and implementation of updates to our valuation models
  • Collaborate within our team and cross-functional team to build models, and analyze, validate and implement improvements to our assumptions, methodologies, and practices
  • Identify valuation drivers and analyze changes in valuations versus performance expectations
  • Contribute to the development of valuation framework for a new loan
  • Develop supporting documentation of valuation models, processes and results for internal stakeholders and auditors
  • Commit to the evolution of the quantitative and fixed income expertise of the team
  • Assist Accounting with Fair Value attribution and disclosure reporting
  • Architecting and executing a scalable and predictable go-to-market sales engine to power our fast-paced global business
  • Craft, implement, and manage sales and revenue processes
  • Define and manage relevant and accurate sales metrics and KPIs as well as business-essential related information; improve current management information vehicles (reports) and systems with an eye to developing new reporting tools in collaboration with the analytics team
  • Lead the adoption of comprehensive and effective forecasting tools and dashboards within the sales organization, while integrating these within the organization’s overall financial forecasting practices
  • Working with sales leadership, drive and develop standards and processes for sales quotas and incentive plans to enable a high-performing sales team
  • High level of collaborative involvement in all aspects of sales planning: overall sales plan, headcount, quotas, comp plans. Align comp plans with compensation philosophy and business parameters, work with our compensation analyst
  • Be a constant visionary for improving sales process, working closely with sales management on sales process quality and work to prioritize opportunities for improvement
  • Continuously work to optimize the effectiveness and productivity of the sales team
  • Direct and support the implementation of sales onboarding and training in alignment with company initiatives
  • Direct and support the implementation of systems to onboard and track the performance of channel partners
  • Determine hiring needs and team capacity
  • Interface with marketing inbound demand generation 
  • Manage outbound demand generation funnel
  • Design organizational structure
  • Establish, measure and report against annual goals and KPI’s 
  • Own data accuracy and sales reporting, representing BHG’s Sales Team’s data internally 
  • Lead tracking, lead success, marketing tracking and marketing success
  • Structure sales compensation and oversee commission payout processes
  • Optimize use of Technology and Tools including Salesforce CRM, sales engagement tools
  • Development of annual budget and strategic plan
What You'll Need
  • You are self-motivated, highly analytical and a strong problem solver
  • You have strong quantitative skills and a strong understanding of valuation, fixed income principles, analytics, credit risk, and prepayment modeling
  • Understanding of consumer loan products
  • You have a positive, collaborative attitude and a willingness to learn
  • You have experience underwriting a broad spectrum of secured deals; specifically, cash flow lending or leveraged finance experience.
  • Experience building, using and validating fixed income discounted cash flow models and scenario analysis
  • Regulatory experience: Recent experience in a regulated bank type environment.
  • Working knowledge of Access databases and SQL
  • You have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, or similar discipline within a quantitative field
  • You have 2-4 years of applied experience in the financial services industry
